Maui has followed a career pathway that has spanned namely in lease management of Maori assets, investments and Trust administration. He held the position of Deputy Maori Trustee and is currently serving on a number of Boards involved in Maori land, economic growth and social and educational well-being as well as a Trustee of the Te Hui Amorangi Ki Te Tairawhiti Trust Board.
