Robin Have is a descendant of the Te Whauiapiti tupuna who donated the Te Aute lands and along with his whanau have strong links to the college through the land but also having attended, worked and governed at Te Aute College. His other iwi links also include Rangitane, Rongowhakaata and Ngati Kahungunu whanui.
Robin spent many years in the public service but is now Chief Executive Officer of Ngati Pahauwera Development Trust manaing an asset base of around $100m. He also serves on a number of land, marae and other government entities providing governance and operational oversight. His qualifications include degrees in Commerce, Matauranga Maori, and diplomas in Environmental Health and Teaching.
His aspirations for both Te Aute and Hukarere is to ensure the colleges realise our tupuna aspirations, are relevant in the lives of our rangatahi today and future proof the learning environment to meet the needs of the coming generations.
